To become an orthodontist, a dentist must complete at least 3 extra years of full-time specialist training. Orthodontists are specialists in straightening teeth and correcting bites.

Your child can either be registered directly through our website/call-centre, or they can be referred by your local dentist.
Yes, most certainly. A comprehensive report following assessment or treatment will be shared with your child’s dentist to keep them up-to-date.
It is absolutely possible and is encouraged for parents/guardians to be present at their child’s appointments. We do however, understand that some parents/guardians will prefer to stay in work or save themselves the journey to school, so we will have the option of these parents being present in the appointment virtually.
We are a fully private dental and orthodontic service.
Our service schedule will be available on our Schools Served page. You can also find this out by either calling us or speaking with your child’s school.
If the School Teeth service is not available at their new school, you can choose to either continue with their appointments at their original school, or to complete your child’s treatment it will be carried out by our high-street service partner.
We believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to entry when it comes to your treatment. We offer interest-free finance, allowing you to spread the cost of your treatment. To find out more please contact us.
NHS orthodontic treatment is available for people under the age of 18 with a clear health need for treatment. They must fall into a set criteria bracket, however due to high demand, there can be a long waiting list.
Sadly, the NHS is under a lot of strain and waiting to see an orthodontist through the NHS can take as long as two years depending on your area. School Teeth offers treatment without your child having to join a “waiting list” so treatment can be finished as quickly as possible. Additionally, these appointments will be time efficient as they will be conducted directly on your child’s school grounds preventing the dreaded rush, panic and unexpected traffic that can occur with high street appointments.
An orthodontist is a qualified specialist who has first trained to become a dentist, and then undertaken a further three-year postgraduate degree at Masters or Doctorate level, in addition to undertaking hospital training.
